What is this tick remover?

The Trixie tick remover uses a loop instead of a hook or tweezers to remove ticks. By tightening the loop around the tick and then slowly pulling, the entire tick, including its head, is safely removed from the skin.

Why use this method?

Incomplete removal (head remaining attached) can cause inflammation and infection. The lasso technique prevents crushing the tick and reduces the chance of parts remaining in the skin. The tweezers are suitable for dogs, cats, and other pets.

How do you use the tick remover lasso?

Place the lasso over the tick and gently tighten the cord. Then, pull straight up slowly without twisting or squeezing. Clean the area afterwards. Check the skin for redness or swelling in the following days.

Ideal when you want the best chance of complete removal without breaking the head and without putting pressure on the tick – for example, with small ticks or sensitive skin.
