About This Shaft

Steve’s Detector Rods built this upper shaft for detectorists who want the option to add counterweight balancing without compromising on everyday use. The threaded insert lets you attach a counterweight for heavy coil setups, while the included end cap keeps things clean when detecting with standard coils.

The 34 7/8″ length matches stock dimensions, so your Equinox fits the same but feels noticeably lighter in your hands. Four adjustment holes give you the same cuff positions as the original Minelab shaft, and the injection-molded cam lock provides years of reliable field use.
