The needles are designed for the finishing stage of the cleaning process and for the most delicate finds; it’s the most suitable tool to slowly remove even the tiniest piece of dirt stuck in a coin caption or on the hard-to-reach part of an artifact. The needles require patience and skills, but the result is the best you may get with a mechanical cleaning tool. Several finishing needles are available and can be easily swapped.

- Blunt Needle – Use the blunt needle on larger areas. It’s the more versatile needle. Its polished end will avoid scratches. Use it after removing most of the crust with the diamond tip.
- Sharp thin tip – The sharp thin tip is the most accurate needle available. Use it for narrow areas such as letters in a coin caption or to finish cleaning.
- 3 Harpoon Needles -They are very effective in removing the thick layers of crust or mud. With those harpoons, you may use scratch moves.
