What is Dimethicare ambient spray?

Beaphar Dimethicare is an environmental spray for use in homes around dogs and cats. The spray contains dimethicone (silicone) which forms a sticky layer around parasites, immobilizing fleas, ticks, mites, and lice, preventing them from moving or reproducing.

Why treat the environment?

In flea infestations, 90–95% of the fleas do not live on the animal, but in the environment (baskets, blankets, sofas, carpets). Without environmental treatment, new fleas will continue to hatch and re-infestation will occur quickly. Dimethicare works on all life stages — including eggs and larvae.

How do you use Dimethicare?

Spray evenly on areas where your pet lies or walks: bed, blankets, sofa, carpet, car. Do not use on the pet. Allow to dry and vacuum if necessary between treatments. Repeat in case of new infestation.

Ideal in combination with spot-on or tablet treatments for the animal, when you want a non-chemical alternative to keep the environment free of fleas and ticks and prevent re-infestation.
