Proper nutrition from the start is crucial for the rearing, growth, and egg production of laying hens. The animals’ needs depend heavily on their developmental stage and whether they are laying eggs. Kasper Faunafood therefore offers a range of feeds that, when used correctly, promote good rearing and later, good egg production. Feed intake depends on breed and age, but especially on the size (weight) of the hens. The following chart can be used as a general guideline for different laying percentages.

Supplementary animal feed for poultry. To be given in addition to a complete feed, up to a maximum of 25% of the daily ration, preferably scattered to encourage foraging behavior. Recommended for chickens of all breeds.
